Research Area: Social Performance and Resource Governance
Matías is a Psychologist and holds a Master’s degree in Social Psychology from the Adolfo Ibáñez University. His primary area of interest is social research, with a particular focus on the study of socio-territorial phenomena from an environmental
psychology perspective. His work addresses issues such as segregation, social cohesion and place identity through qualitative research methodologies.
He has experience in the design and implementation of community-based participatory interventions, as well as in data collection, analysis and systematisation for project development. Alongside his role at SMI Chile, he serves as a Research Assistant on Fondecyt Project No. 11250590, contributing to data collection and analysis, literature review, and knowledge production in neighbourhood contexts across Santiago, Chile.
