Line of Research: Social Performance and Resource Governance

Manuel is a general accountant and business administrator belonging to the Atacameña indigenous ethnic group. He has a deep attachment to Patta Hoiri (Mother Earth) and the ancestral traditions of the Lican Antay people.

He has served as a consultant for indigenous organizations in the areas of administration, accounting, tax, and labor.

For the past three years, he has served as an administrative advisor, project coordinator, and community relations officer, supporting various boards and assemblies of Atacameña organizations.

He currently works as a field professional supporting the indigenous communities of Atacama la Grande in the Agreement with SQM. His main objective is to collaborate with the leadership in the formulation, execution, and reporting of investment and development projects, providing an indigenous-professional perspective that considers the Atacameña idiosyncrasy and the unique conditions of the Lican Antay territory.
