Line of research: Environmental Rehabilitation and Ecosystem Dynamics

Daniela holds a degree in Renewable Natural Resources Engineering from the University of Chile and a master’s degree in Protected Areas and Nature Conservation from the same institution. She also holds postgraduate diplomas in Environmental Restoration and Rehabilitation, Applied Geomatics, and Territorial Leadership for Water Security.

Her career has focused on biodiversity conservation, with experience in projects at species, ecosystem and landscape levels. Over more than ten years working in the environmental sector, she has been part of teams in both the public and private sectors. Her experience and expertise enable her to address biodiversity conservation from both scientific and technical perspectives, as well as through planning, management and governance approaches.

Daniela is also interested in research on network ecology and landscape ecology.
