Line of research: Social Performance and Resource Governance
Bárbara is a Social Worker and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the Universidad Católica de Chile (PUC), where she is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Social Work. She has also completed specialized courses in Sustainable Development and Public Policies in the Territory (University of Chile and CAF), Social Research for Territories (RIMISP), and Public Participation (IAP2 Latin America).
Her main areas of expertise are: facilitation of dialogue processes with Indigenous and multisectoral communities, participatory methodologies for people-centered solutions, co-design of training programs in community engagement, public participation, and territorial leadership, design and management of multisectoral projects, research in public policies, and water governance.
Bárbara has served as Territorial Engagement Officer at Territorio Común (Common Territory), a Latin American partner of Go Vocal; Project Manager at the UC Public Policy Center; Academic Coordinator of diplomas in community relations, mediation, and community strengthening at UC; Researcher and coordinator of studies in territorial dialogue, socio-environmental governance, and public policy; Professor and academic tutor in training programs; Support Instructor in participatory development with Pam Bourke; Independent consultant for UNESCO, MINEDUC, and NHRI; and Social Assistant at the Consulate General of Peru in Santiago.
