More than just a typical software training course, the JKSimMet course is a comprehensive programme in which we cover many of the fundamentals of operation. For each piece of equipment, we will examine its operation, its mathematical model in JKSimMet (approach, structure, capabilities and limitations), as well as a practical exercise using the software with real data.
Course description
More than just a typical software training course, the JKSimMet course is a comminution course in which we review many of the fundamentals of the operation. For each piece of equipment, we will cover its operation, its mathematical model in JKSimMet (approach, structure, capabilities and limitations), as well as a practical exercise in the software using real data.
It is designed for metallurgists who wish to apply process analysis techniques to characterise and optimise plant performance; and for design engineers who require process simulation models to evaluate design alternatives.
JKSimMet integrates all tasks associated with data analysis, optimisation, design and simulation– including the storage and manipulation of models, data and results – within a single package. Mass balance and the fitting of complete circuit models are standard features.
It is fully interactive and utilises high-resolution colour graphics. These graphics facilitate the visualisation of detailed plant flow diagrams and associated information.
JKSimMet was developed by researchers at the Julius Kruttschnitt Mineral Research Centre (JKMRC) at the University of Queensland.
