- Objective: Studies EST-01 and EST-02 aim to characterize the functioning of the Terrestrial Hydrological Azonal Vegetation Systems (HHAVS) in the Pedernales Salt Flat by analyzing ecological relationships and environmental variables, developing response models of the vegetation and the wetland ecosystem, along with a multiscale monitoring system designed to detect significant changes in vegetation cover and environmental functioning early on.
